Laser test files for cutting and engraving?

has anyone made a test file that would test different setting in a series of power and speeds? What I am looking for is a way to test new materials and find the sweet spot for each of them.
Also is there a way to save the configuration of such tests for engraving and cutting after setting colors the way that I want them?
