Maximum speed on K40

My DSP upgrade came set up for 500 mm/S max speed and I have not tried changing it yet. I was reading some information on the Gravograph LS100 machine and they say the max speed is 2540 mm/S which is pretty fast. I was wondering what others are using for their max speed on K40s. Not sure that this machine is capable of those wicked speeds or not.

I am also wondering with moving the head really fast if the control can turn on and off the beam fast enough for fine line engraving. I tried some engraving and got some odd results that I was thinking might be from the laser pulsing on and off too slowly even while it was moving at only 300 mm/S. I will post pictures of this in another topic when I get a chance.
