1 axis CO2 laser cutter

My tech guy said that he got trouble to cut sponge or soft foam that used to pack those XY stages and laser tube. He used to use a knife/cutter to do it but it was very troublesome. So, he came an idea: 1 axis CO2 laser cutter

The project was completed in about 5 days with a DSP controller installed and a 80W standard tube. The best thing I'd in the project is the water bottle. It is so unique and it is supporting the cutting (not very heavy) job without affecting the performance.

If anyone interested, we can share the information. As matter of fact, a guy seem it and asked for the design layout as he was planning to fabricate it for sale
