I was cutting out some parts today for a model ship kit I'm developing and went to compare the cut parts to the original drawings. One part in particular is suppose to be 13.874" long or 352.4 mm. However, the cut part is 13.5" long.
Checking pulses for x and y axis in LaserCAD, they were set at 6.5 on each which was the default setting. However, I'm thinking that this is the problem and that they should perhaps be a little less. My stepper drivers are the 3MD560's.
Does anyone know what the correct pulse setting should be for these drivers. I'm not sure about the stepper motors, they came with the 600 x 400 pro gantry I bought.
Or perhaps it something entirely different. Whatever it is, I need to fix it because the parts have to match the drawings or the kit will never go together correctly.
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Cut parts smaller than original drawing
Never mind, I fixed it. It was pulses. My stepper motors are 1.2 degree so the pulse value should be 6.3 rather than 6.5. I changed them to 6.3 and cut the same part out again and this time it matches the original drawing.
