Small rotary for K40

Folks good news, I found a small rotary designed for K40. A sample will be here on next Monday
It is type of two rolling bars instead of center clamp type
Anyone interested a rotary?

Update:

Just posted two images for review. I will make better pictures once I have it on hands. It is tiny enough to fit into the K40. If I like the performance, I will ask the manufacturer to dye some color on the frame and make it looks better.

The sample I received show no polish on the aluminum and it is not anodlized. I'll ask them see if they can do both for me
Plus, I see that the unit is very simple and probably we can mass production it with better design. Therefore, I decieded to drop my price to $105 . Hope you guys happy with that.

Once I got spare time, I will test it on my old K40. Currently, I'm so busy doing some developing work. But the most prioritize work that need to do is to fix warehouse roof from leaking (5 locations). Carpet on front office all soaked and wet. Security alarm alerted twice already. I was informed that California allow only ONE times false alarm and will be fined there after.

By the way, I'm working on a cheap cheap solution for 60W laser cooler. The cost should be under $100.

That is a good question. The only thing come to my mine is 'Wine' .
But K40 may not have enough power to do glass engraving though.

Ya right Marco K40 doesn't touch glass.. however you could use the etching stuff that cooks on ?

Just let you know that we're working on an extension cover for the K40. With that cover (need to protect the tube and for safety), one can upgrade the K40 to a 1m (1000mm) long CO2 tube with power of 45W (50W peak but not recommended). To do it, a hole (possible 100mm or 4" in diameter or square shape) must be opened on right hand side of the machine. The come with power supply on K40 should be good enough to push the 1m tube that need 22mA for full power. With 45W power output, engraving on the glass should be possible with lower speed like 2mm/s. I'll test it to confirm it.

The most diffificult part for the conversion is "how to cut that big hole" on K40! I'm thinking to use a round "saw bit" but my guys in China told me that it was not easy to do it. There were a lot of vibration happening during cutting and it's very hard to control the drill. It raised safety issue and to folks without hands on experience it is kind of dangerous. We want to play safe . Therefore, they suggested to use a jigsaw and make square hole instead of a round shape hole instead. That make more sense to me.

Ok, now I buy their idea by using a jigsaw. So, now I'm hunting for a jigsaw. WIll search for one on craigslist see if I'm lucky enough to get a used but good jigsaw. Let me be the frontier and give it a try. Then we move to next step.

!rgh stop...please STOP
The ligsaw will shake it to pieces !!! Trust me ! Use a small (4 inch) grinder and use gentle strokes ( to cut a square) lightly brush it with the disc you will soon get the feel and youl will have a reasonable hole in 3 mins.

I used one to cut a couple of holes in mine then used this type of stuff ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Edge-Tr ... 20dac72114 ) on the sharp edge so I did not slash my wrists on it every time I went near it

I've engraved glass with my K40 (with DSP) without a problem. Specifically, I buy glass tiles from the local hardware store and engrave them. Air assist is highly recommended because engraving glass spews lots of particulates. The inside of my machine is very dusty afterwards. Clean your lenses frequently when engraving glass. (Perhaps different types of glass yield different results, though.)
