Not able to etch over 300mm/m

I cannot set laser cad to etch over 300mm/m. Every time I set it higher than 300 the gantry will lockup and make a squealing noise after it starts to engrave the first line. Anyone have any ideas?? It works fine set at 300 or lower.

Yep, you're trying to drive the motors faster than they can handle. Try decreasing the acceleration, or changing the microstep setting to something a bit higher (change 1/16 to 1/8 etc). Your motor drivers might not be powerful enough either.
