Hi
I have my system all wired up and powered
The stepper motors are locked, but I have no movement using either the panel or the software, the laser will not fire either.
I have checked, and rechecked all the wiring, confirmed 24V from the power supply to the drives, green light is on.
the computer is communicating to the DSP.
Should I send back the AWC 608 board to get checked out..?
thanks
I have ordered another DSP control and power supply from you. I have too much work waiting to be done at the moment and cant afford too much down time. I will get this other board in the post to you to have a look at
no movement or laser

Re: no movement or laser
I emailed you to ask you to check the `um` value but I didn't get reponse from you. I bet you didn't the manual I sent you, didn't you.
What kind of machine or motor are you using?
You need to have proper setting to make it work

Re: no movement or laser
Hi Marco
Yes I set the um value to 5 as per the instructions. I fear what might of happened is the 40W laser power supply had a short to earth. Although the safety circuit triped before I was electricuted, it might have damaged the drive chips on the board.
Or, and it could have damaged the drive aswell.
I have some spare drives here that I will test with
No I didnt get your email, for some reason the forum doesnt like my email address. Please use euroflow2000@yahoo.com.au
Thanks

UPDATE
Well I have just done some testing, looks like it blew the drives, so I now have motion. it looks like I have a signal from the DSP to the laser power supply, so it must just be that, that is holding me up.
