Awc 608 Problems
Hello I have several problems with my awc 608 stating that I will go to see if I get solution.
the first is to record and restart the engraving to make it in the same position it does not recognize the point x = 0 and y = 0 and takes these values into the last position to strike the head, what can be the solution?

Re: Awc 608 Problems
Hi javier
did you make all the settings in the software and set on the display to software ?
the easy way is if you use corel to make a frame in the size of you work area and then use the macro to send the file
over to the laser software this way the work of the laser would always be the same.
what do you mean with " record "? if you send a file to the laser (DSP) it wil be there saved in the machine memorie
you just have to push the start/pause botton if you have send another file over and if you want theprevious file back
then you just go on the display " file" press enter then scroll to the file and press enter then select and enter and you have it back
greetings
walt

Re: Awc 608 Problems
The problem this one that the awc 608 does not recognize the area of work, whenever I order a work from lasercad to the machine begins the work in the point x=0 and y=0 and on having finished the work does not return to the initial position, remains in this last position registering the coordinates as 0,0 and on having begun other one you see the trabajono it goes to the top left corner but it begins in the center of the machine or in other coordinates that not so n the initials

Hi javier
no probleme with language.
did you set in the manufacturer settings to return to home position?? see picture
you maybe also need to set the home position manually with the arrows on the display back to
the position you want and then press the home botton.
greetings

Hi javier
did you safe the parameter??
best if you send the screenshots from the three what I have postet .
and what stepdriver and stepper motor you use.
make a 50mm square in lasercut then send it to the laser as cut with about 15% power and 50mm speed then measure the X and Y size
this are the parameter what you need to put in.
depends on the stepper driver settings which should be for beginning set to 3200 steps/revolution.
dont forgett to set on the display to software
greetings

If so, those seller will not provide you any support and the card isn't come with warranty. from us. You may still get some support from folks here. But I can't support you.

Re: Awc 608 Problems
Hello Javier,
Marco may not support you, and quite rightly, but I will also try and help out and if we do fix your problem then you will be happy and will come back to lightobjects and buy things from him.
When you press the "reset" button the laser will go to the home position where you set it, top left I think in your case, and when it does it's zero setting the laser will return to the last point you pressed the "Origin" button at.
What I mean is, when you press the "Origin" button, that is where the laser will return to after you do a reset or when the job is finished.
I make it a habit of setting where I want my laser to start cutting and then press the origin button to set that point as the start of cut point. This can be done from the LCD panel, or with Marco's DSP in software as well.
Walt's comments will get you on track with the settings but you will have to fine tune them for your setup to get things right.
As Walt has said you need to "read" the settings from the LCD then make your changes and then "write" these settings to the DSP/LCD for them to be saved. I also export the settings for a backup to another hard drive just in case something goes terribly wrong and I need to start all over again.
Walt has probably had more problems than anyone else with his setup so he will most probably be able to fix it for you.
Rich.
