Recently I purchased some new limit switches and wanted to add them to my machine to protect it. In Lasercad when I read the setting from the DSP the hardware limit option comes back unchecked. I check it and save and it does not take.
So I thought I would update to the latest x7 patch that Marco posted. This didn't change anything. However now I can no longer load large files to the DSP I have tried over the network and directly from a usb stick. These are project files that I had saved and ran before the update fine.
So my question is does the DSP have enough memory to support high detail raster images on a large table? Maybe it's not a memory issue at all. It loads smaller files fine though.
Worst case I can load the previous patch and it should work again.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Hardware Limit and Latest X7 DSP Patch issues
I have worked out the large file issues, however on both X7 DSP's I have the issue with hardware limit option not saving, Always returns unchecked when you attempt to read settings.
Any thoughts on that?

You need to hit "Read" first, the hit "Save"
To take the new parameters in effect, press "Reset"

Re: Hardware Limit and Latest X7 DSP Patch issues
Marco,
I tried as you recommended. On both machines. Hardware limits come back unchecked. I tested machine to see if maybe the settings took in the DSP and the limits failed to stop the axis.
From LaserCad, I read the settings, Check the hardware limit box, save settings enter password. Hit ok. Then hit reset on the DSP.
Is this not correct or is there something else I can try?
Thank you.

Can you post your screen? It is so odd as I never seems such problem before.
May be you want to reinstall the LaserCad
