Really Dim Temp Gauge?!

Post by thejuggernaut »

Is anyone using one of these?

http://www.lightobject.com/Mini-Digital ... -P421.aspx

I hooked it up and I can barely read it. The photo on the site looks like it is back lit, but mine seems to be very dark. I pushed the little click button on the back and all it does is change it from F to C. Am I missing something or is mine faulty?

Mine is like that too. It needs to be looked straight-on. The problem is that it's a "3 o'clock view" and should be "6 o'clock view" LCD panel, I think.

Dang,

Cause on the website it looks nice and bright! I may try to find a different one.

I have 5v, 12v, 24v, 36v and 120v to choose from, so if higher voltage works better, I can do that.

I would say 5V is bright enough to see well, even though it is not very bright. Post a picture let me see how dim it is. It could be defective

The first photo is with the camera flash.
With Flash.jpeg
The second photo is with overhead lights.
Without Flash.jpeg
Obviously, it's powered up in both photos.

I guess Marco still isn't feeling well. Andy, is yours as dim as the one I showed in the photo?

In normal light mine looks about like your flash picture (not quite as bright, but close).

Not yet,
I need to send you the old one back along with the pump you replaced as well. I have them in the box, just haven't sent them in.
