error engraving

Post by trent »

I have a problem with engraving. When I cut its fine but when an object is switched to engrave it will move the origin and start processing the object at an angle as you can see in the picture. I have included the project and screenshot of what it is supposed to look like as well. Any idea's why it does this .

Thanks
Michael

Attached file is too small to see the problem. Not sure what you mean of "Origin moved"
Please explain more in detail.

When goes through its process the long rectangle is cut. Then all the engravings are supposed to be within that ball lengthwise. Then it is supposed to cut the numbers directly above each engraving. If you open the Prut it should show what I mean. I'll post a better picture when I get home. The left most engraving should have the number 3 over it but that is far to the right. When it finishes the run and returns to origin it is at approximately 25 mm to right of where it started.

Thanks

That wasn't even close to what was supposed to happen! The long rectangle is a cut only no engraving as you can see in the picture above. each small bar is an engrave with a different power and speed. It way have done that because each color on your machine has a different setting then on mine. i'll create the file again and send you an actual cut file.

I knew about it after the post. It was because my color setup is different than yours. Anyway, I already made another one and 8 can say that us is perfect. I will post it later today. I think the problem is mechanic issue or motor issue

It seems to be only in the engraving mode, when cutting, even when using different speeds and powers, seems to work perfectly.
