I found that this stainless steel brush seems a good candidate to be used to clean the high voltage pin on a laser tube.
The pin get oxidized from time to time because of high voltage discharging. So, it is better to clean it missing fire happened.
I bought it from HomeDepot for $1.5 only. Better than use sand paper
Also, it is better to clean the area around the pin by using 70% (or higher %) alcohol. As you may know that, carbonic residue is acuminated from time to time when doing wood cutting or paper or clothes ... it may cause discharge (statics).
