This one is not very good and making wires connection is challenging. You need one of this: http://www.lightobject.com/20W-40W-60W- ... y-P72.aspx

This power supply is indeed a 60W power supply. It output more current than a 40W PS. If you need to engrave very light item like paper or clothes (silk)... it may not be good as a 40W power supply. Because of that , we will launch a new 40W power supply with lower current that ideal for small tube soon.

Hi Marco,
Thank you for your answer, i'm buying the LSR-K40DSPKIT and was wondering, except for the power supply, do i need something else?
Also, you are mentioning the 40w power supply coming soon, would i still be able to use the one i have right now in the meantime?

Thank you

The power supply your K40 current have is not pwm and signal type may not be compatible. Plus ,wires connection is a big issue as it required K+ K-, D+ D- beside laser signal. If you didn't do it right, it may damage the DSP pwm or TTL input. If you have someone know electronics then you may give it a try. Current I don't have this power supply for testing. I did try similar PS before and the engraving result was not good and the on board TTL signal was damage after a few hrs using. But it was not the same PS like yours. This kind of PS easy go "saturation" issue and ended up unacceptable engraving result.

You may start doing conversion first then let me take time to test after I finished my project here. No rush to buy power supply.

Thanks for any help.
