Engraving (only?) jumps its x=0 point halfway through

Post by NickWL »

I think the picture says it all!
Top (first) one showed the problem which - unusually - then went ahead and 'corrected' itself (a bit too late to be useful).
A second print under identical conditions worked perfectly.
Any thoughts please? This happens a lot and is VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!
Nick

Note: The picture has been rotated by the board (forum) software, the one on the left is the 'top' picture and the jump is on the x axis.

update: It wouldn't update (gave the message 'update error'). Wrote to Marco, moaning. Had my tea. Had a think. Searched the forum for 'upgrade error'. and FOUND THE ANSWER!!!!
USB stick wasn't formatted to FAT32 which is an essential prerequisite!

Nick, I like the way you solved the problem. At least you give your best try. That will make you a good troubleshooting guy!
