Wiring the awc-608 control to the 2m656 stepper motor driver

Post by jarbon »

Hey guys. I'm new to this, and I could use some help.

I received this wiring diagram from lightobject: download/DSP/LaserMachineWiringDiagram2.jpg

But, its wiring is for the m415b driver, and the terminal text does not match the terminal text on the 2m656 drivers.

I was trying to "wire by the numbers" but this has thrown me and I don't want to blow anything.

Does anyone have a schematic for wiring the awc-608 controller to the 2m656?

Thanks!

See AWC608 interface file I sent you. I clearly show you how to connect the stepping motor drive in general
DIR+ and PUL+ tap together and connect to DSP +5V
DIR- to DSP DIR-
PUL- to DSP PUL-

Then power the stepping motor from DC24V to 36V. That's all you need to do

Thank you, Marco. I don't have that file, as I purchased the kit, steppers, control board, and other components from my neighbor (who got them from you) because he didn't have the time to complete the project. :)

Can you tell me where I might download that file?

Thanks!

One other thing.

Would I be correct in assuming that on the 2m656 the "PLS" = "PUL" you mentioned in your post above?

I don't need the "ENA" terminals?

I found the interface file. Thank you. That is more clear.
