I went to put my new power supply on my laser tube and the wire on the existing tube was just wrapped around the post and it looks like they
just put white silicone over the top of it with clear hose.
What is the correct way to attach the power supply to the laser tube?
Same as above?
Am I correct in assuming the white stuff is silicone?
Any help would be greatly appreciated/
Thanks,
Power Supply Connection

Re: Power Supply Connection
Probably silicone, yes...
You can not and may not solder the tips of the lasertube. One good way to connect the powersupply to the lasertube is wrapping the blank core of the wire a few times around the tip and fix it with a kit like silicone. Even better is to slide a piece of tubing around it (with the silicone-kit inside) to give a "rigid" connection and proper insulation.
