I have a machine that I cut a sheet on this morning, and it cut fine. I then changed out the lense and now it wont cut.
it is in focus.
the mirrors are aligned.
the beam seems weak.
it is showing 28mA draw on the meter.
normally if I stick a piece of material in line with the beam and the first mirror it will instantly burn it. now I have to hold the laser button to even get it to darken.
any help would be appreciated.

Re: sudden loss of power
The tube seems dying. Time to get a new tube
BTW, you may want to post laser related topics on the "CO2 laser" area

Re: sudden loss of power
Put the old lens back in and see if thatchers the problem. If it does then your new lens is no good.
