Hi
I just finished the measurments to find the corresponding mA to the % settings in the DSP

% = mA
8 2 usually start laser working
9 3
10 4
20 8
30 10
40 11
50 12
60 14
70 15
80 16
90 18
just in case somebody did wondering how it converts.
greetings
walt

Those figures are only good for your specific machine. PS vary greatly. For me, 58% (PWM) = 18 mA at the tube.

EVERYONE needs to run the tests for their own machines!

I'll re-emphasize Tim's statement that this is very dependent on your machine and wiring. I have a nearly identical machine to Walt's. If I took a picture of my power supply you would not be able to tell it from his, but mine hits 15ma at the tube at only 32% output from the DSP 2012 board.

Everyone should generate their own chart starting low end first. It may surprise you how fast it ramps up.

Hi you guys
I give up you guys allways need to be right
My PS is the PWM PS from marco and the DSP AW 608 with lasercut 5.77
I believe there are enough guys out there who would like to know even if it is just some rough idea
greetings
walt

That wasn't meant to be offensive or be right. Your info is good for comparison, but if I had read that info and took it at face value when I first got mine running I'd probably have blown my laser tube by now.

It is not a matter of being right. It is a matter of helping people prevent unnecessary damage to their tubes by not knowing all the information they need to make a well informed decision.

If that bothers you, I suggest you simply skip over our posts.
