I'm converting an old chest freezer into a deer cooler to age venison. I need to keep the temp between 32 and 40 deg F. I've been looking at the JLD612 and the F10CTR. Would one be better then the other for my purpose? Any advise is greatly appreciated.

A JLD612 and a Pt100 probe will work just fine, but --- cooling systems and their compressors hate to be short-cycled, so do *not* use PID-type control; just set it up as a regular thermostat with about 2 or 3 degrees of hysteresis. Some recent posts here have discussed this kind of control at length.
