Power output of the JLD612: AC or DC?

I just received the 612 and I am trying to get it to work with an external SSR to heat a 15 litres turkey frier. With the manual and good advices from this blog, I have been unable to program the 612 and made all the connections but the frier is not heating at all (it is working OK when plugged directly). I am using now a DC-AC SSR.

I power the 612 with regular 130 V current. Does that mean that the power on pos. 6 and 7 is also AC? In that case, I suppose I would have to use a AC-AC SSR?
Can someone help me with that?

I know more in cuisine and biochemistry (PhD) than in electronics...
Thanks a lot!

The 612's SSR output is DC -- you have to connect the 612's SSR DC output to the SSR's DC input with the correct polarity: + connection to + connection, and - to -. There may be something else going on here, like a setting error, but make sure you check the connections first. The diagram of connections in the manual is good to refer to.
