exhaust control by CO2 laser

New to the forum so if I am in the wrong sub-forum, sorry, then move my question.
So I have a Gravograph LS100 and a non-Gravograph exhaust fan. Due to the preparatory nature of the Gravograph products, they want be to buy their exhaust and I don't. They will not tell me how to activate my exhaust fan.
I have found that two of the 5 pins on the exhaust connection (the connection used by their equipment) "go positive" with a 5 volt signal when the laser is active. I suspect this is a 5 volt, very small milliamp power source. Does anyone know how much power is the minimum requirement to activate a ESSR-25DAC solid state relay? Could I activate my exhaust with this relay?
