Focal Lense Orientation???

Can someone please tell me what the correct orientation of the focal lense is? I bought a new one for the head that came with the LO-X7 kit and noticed that it is not flat...

One side is flat (or very slightly hollow) this side is pointing to your work (normaly down)

Concave facing down down to the object
Convex (curve up) facing up where laser beam is coming
