I'm building a 900 x 600 laser using Light Object parts.

I have a question about the Stepper wiring and Dip settings for the driver(s).

The steppers on the XY table have six wires;

Black, Red, White, Yellow, Brown and Blue.

How does this translate to; U, V and W ?

Also,

What is the recommended Dip switch setting on the 3MD560
to match the XLE steppers ?

I thought I had read all the PDF's but I found a 57 series PDF w/six wires.

Looks like red/black= W, blue/white=V and yellow/brown=U

Current rating for the stepper is 5.2 Amps. Should I use this
for the driver setting, or should I set it to a lower Amperage ?

As long as the motor is not getting very hot (low hot or warm is normal), you're OK. Just check the motor current rating we posted
