PC no longer recognizes USB device

got a PC connection problem...last night when I shut the laser down (a chinese 1390) I thought I heard a faint pop from the machine..it was so faint I didnt think much of it...but this morning, when I turn it on I get the Code 43 from the PC saying the device has malfunctioned and is not recognized...so Im kinda at a loss as to what to check for. any ideas?

If you put a normal USB-stick in that PC-port and if you can read and write it, your PC-USB-port is likely OK..
faint pops
(in that sequence)

well..still not sure what the faint pop was..might have been a small piece on the cutting bed falling to the bottom lol...anywho..before I tried the wrench method, I restarted the PC... which I shouldve tried 1st..and it worked..so anyway..I can turn off the alarms. lol

Anybody can Help me please?
what is correct usb driver for win 8.10
I instaled the lasercad V 7.49, 7.52 and 7.65 and the messages are only " comunicating unsuccesful" in any version of lasercad.

I purchased a upgrade for my D40 Chinese with you at 3/4 years ago , but I not remember the order number and what goods I purchased. I remember the total amount about U$ 600,00.

You need to update the hardware OS and get the LaserCad v7.60 or above in order to run on Win7 or Win8
