I initially bought a set of these glasses:

I'm not real happy with them. I don't think I'm getting any protection from the red targeting light.

Do you have a recommendation for glasses that protect against both CO2 and the red dot?

Unless you're going to shine the red targeting light straight onto your eyeball you really don't need to protect against it. Remember, this kind of laser is used as a pointer in lecture halls all over the world...

Well, I'm cutting laminated plexiglass, so some of the red light could be reflected off the shiny laminated surface. From what I read, the glasses I have are good for the CO2 wavelength, but not for the 850 red dot wavelength. I do have a set or red glasses I got with a drill press that has a laser target, maybe I could put those over the ones I have until I can get a better set. I see they have several sets here, I'm looking for one that covers CO2 and Red Dot wavelengths.

Nick is right. The red dot laser pointer only output 5mW and reflection from the beam is very light. Unless you got hit direct to your eyes, otherwise you don't need to worry about it. There is no protection goggle can protect you from both red beam (635nm to 850nm) and 10600nm from CO2. FDA only allow us to import red dot laser pointer with 5mW or below

Unlike a laser from red or green laser with hazard infrared spectrum that may damage your retina if your eyes got hit direct. The hazard from CO2 laser is the reflection with "UV" spectrum and it won't damage your retina but cause pain if you look at the beam long enough.
But I would care more on the CO2 than the red dot in this case

Thanks. I purchased those green lasses last week and tested them yesterday along with your 10600nm glasses. They don't wear on top of each other very well, but each is an excellent pair on their own. I like the green ones very much, the spotting light is very much diminished and is just a faint pinpoint. Much easier to aim now, and very easy on the eyes.I had been using a set of red glasses that came with my laser guided drill press, but that seemed to amplify the red spotting light. Sure wish I had bought my glasses here first, rather than eBay. Yours are better and cheaper.
