CO2 and red pointer beam configuration

How have you guys configured the combiner and the red laser pointer for it?

I'm looking at the combiner lens mount on this site, but can't figure out how it's mounted, or if there is a mount for the red laser for the frame kits.

Any suggestions/solutions would be most welcome!

John

This is what it's supposed to look like, not sure about the mount. Does this answer your question?

If your problem is with the alignment/holder for the laser pointer I can offer some tips there.

Note if you're adding this to your existing system you might need to re-align your mirrors after inserting the combiner, because it is going to 'shift' the beam by some of its thickness.

Thank you, yes. It's the hardware and configuration. I'm not finding a combiner lens mount combined with the red laser holder.

What mounts have you used to take advantage of this configuration?

I haven't used one, nor built my laser, just a lot of designs. I was thinking of using a reflex mirror, like DSLR, instead of a beam combiner. I can give some ideas for a DIY mount, I'd use a 2x4 as a common base and mount both the laser and the combiner mirror to that same base, so you just adjust that base when you're messing with it's 45° alignment with the system.

I figure it's easier to use a common base for the combiner & red laser, so when you go to align it with the system you just move the base around, and the red laser stays fixed in alignment with the combiner.
