Teacdance thank you so much for all your help, without it I would not have a running machine. The Laser cuts very well now.
I do have a problem with the engraving, when I send something to be engraved it engraves the object double so for example if i engrave a circle it will engrave two at the same time one overlapping the other, and this happens with everything i send to it, however when its set to cut it works ok
Any ideas?

Hmm, it probably does not lose steps when it comes anyway around evenly. That thing is pretty new to what I have not met

It's strange I can't find anything in the settings that would cause it, hopefully someone will recognise the problem otherwise I will not be able to engrave with it

Sorry Teacdance i'm not sure what you mean by that, i have selected manual order, but cannot find anything in regards to 'shadow'
Even when i select manual order it still does the same
The objects/letters overlap with 4mm from the left hand side

Seem to have found a fix, i had the engraving set to x-swing but if i select x-swing unilateralism it seems to work fine

If that fixed your problem then the issue is in the x travel - most likely you have play in the driving belt. Tighten it up. If you cannot get rid of all the play, then there settings available in PHCad that allow you to put in compensation for the mismatch. You can then use the x-scan method which is twice as fast. You won't like the unilateral approach very long - SLOOOOOOOOOOOW!
