Rich,
From trial and error.....
The display issue will be noise from the HV laser supply to tube connection, if all looks well check n check again, pull the supply out of any enclosure to try if need be..
Regarding the at work / air assist issue, Laser 1 socket, pin 1 0v pin 6 +v will give you 2.6v (from memory) while the controller is driving the machine, ie turn everything on when needed, I've no idea why this isn't deemed a major fault in design with users putting up with turning all sorts of things on and off by hand on a CNC machine.. don't know what pin 6 is meant to do cos it's marked up in chinese.. 2.6v not great but it's driving my opto isolator no prob..
