It is very strange. I have no problem to change the acceleration at all. You may want to stick with LaserCad 6.88. No reason for you to go back to older version. I'll send you a link to download the latest OS. Your OS was a year old. Before doing so, make sure you may a copy of your confirmation by using "Export" function. In case the new OS won't work right for you, you can still go back and use the old OS. Also, write down the "um" value for both X and Y which is the most important setting need to run motor smoothly.

When you say memory stick, I asume that's just another term for a usb thumb drive or flash drive. I'm not able to get the control unit to recognize the usb thumb drive. I've tried three ways: 1) connecting both the 608 and the thumb drive into usb ports on the laptop and 2) pluging the 608 and thumb drive into a usb hub and then into the laptop usb, and 3) using an adapter and plugging the thumb drive directly into the 608. In steps 1 & 2 the motors operate in both setups and Windows Explorer recognizes the stick. No Udisk is displayed in all 3 connections.

Did you format it by FAT32?
DSP card can't recognize FAT

I had tried two thumb drives and I just looked at their properties and they both are FAT32. Is there a special file that should be on the thumb drive that the controller looks for to recognize the drive?

I did send you the OS file in zipped format (V6,V7,V8 and you need the V7 to upgrade it), didn't you get it??
You need to unzip it and place the file into the dump drive (USB memory) and let the DSP to read it and to upgrade it

Yes Sir! I even took a third usb thumb drive, wipped it clean, formatted it in FAT32, unzipped the 131210V678.rar file to the root directory. So the 3 files are the only thing on the thumb drive. When I go to Menu > Udisk Files, the LCD control panel shows No Udisk.

Second thought: Does the DSP only look for a specific drive letter for the Udisk? Do I need to change the drive letter on the thumb drive to be recognized?

I'm desperate to get back in operation. If there is no solution to my previous post, as a shotgun approach, is it possible for me to buy just the controller board instead of another complete AWC608 controller package?

What kind of machine are you running? K40 or other?
You can just get a new set of DSP system alone and replace the current you have. Just plug in and it should work instantly. Then, we can work on the older system

It's a machine I built myself one year ago using your F4 100watt gun, power supply, AWC608 controller, motors, drivers, mirrors, and hardware. Do I understand that I can't buy just the controller board, but have to buy the complete $429 system? Just wanting to know if there are any options. Do you log the purchase date to know if there is a warranty on the AWC608.

Save the time for searching... I'm kind of remembered that you used a different email/account to make the purchase.
Anyway, since it is over 1 year and here is the deal:
You send the card back to my office in China for repair. Then you pay for return shipping cost which is about $45. So round trip shipping cost run about $90. Repair fee cost vary from $25 to $150 depends what is broken. If it is minor things, they won't charge you. So far I haven't been charged over $75 in 5~6 cases.

Or, wait for my next return to China and you can send the card to me prior my leave. Then, I can take it to the Pro shop for repair. In this case, I'll ask $40 service fee which include shipping fee to ship it back to you. I may leave the either the end of April or May
