Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
Hi Marco. Could you send me the link to the latest version please. I wouldn't mind trying it out.
I have the AW608 board.
Thanks a bunch.
Rich.

Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
Marco, I have been in CNC off and on for sometime. Just sold my CNC wood router and found your website. It looks like the place to be. Is there a Demo version of the software to try? Non functioning to the controller, just to see what is involved. I am interested in laser engraving, just as a hobby this time. BG

Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
Hello Marco,
Is it possible to change the 'laserstart' macro for Corel Draw to automatically start the laser cutting process in LaserCad with preset parameters? Also is it possible to keep LaserCad minimized and keep Corel Draw maximized?
My reason for this is that my cutting area and material will be the same for every cutting project. It is just the cutting pattern that changes. And all of my cutting images are created in Corel Draw.
Thank you

Hi there
if you use the color if you use lasercad then this will always come up with the same settings till you change the setting for this color, it always will keep the last setting.

Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
Thanks that's good to know. However I still need to find a way to keep LaserCAD minimised and have the cutting process start automatically when the 'laserstart' macro is pressed.

Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
hi there
it makes no sense to me to start the laser from corel because there is no setting or not the right one for speed or power set for the laser
I guess you got the worng idea.
greetings

Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
As I have said before my cutting parameters will never change.
The material will never change . And the size of the material being cut will never change.
The only thing that changes is the cutting pattern, which is created in Corel.
What I want the 'laserstart' macro to do is send the image to LaserCAD and automatically start the cutting process without having to press an extra button. No I am not lazy, I am just trying to be efficient. Also if the LaserCAD software can stay hidden and Corel stays maximized, the machine operator can work on the next cutting file while the laser is cutting.

Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
hi there
ok I always do it the way I send one file from corel to the lasercad then go back to corel and work on the next one without closing ether one . then send the next one to lasercad download and push the start bottom. it's just a question of convenience
what you would need then a print driver not the lasercad software. as far as I know it will be very difficult to program this.
greetings
walt

Re: Where to find DSP Software ?
So does Lasercad generate the G code for the DSP controller and then automatically run it? Is there just a machine control program that will do the same thing without Lasercad, if you just load in a DXF file?
I wonder why everyone is using Corel Draw unless it is to process pictures for the laser. There are a number of other programs that can export DXF files and are free unless you need to process pictures. I have an old Version of Corel Draw that creates DXF files from pictures, I'm guessing it won't run in Win 7,
Draftsight is one CAD program that comes to mind and I use it because it runs in Windows 7. PLus it will load DWG files I created in 1992!!

So is it possible to alter the 'laserstart' macro to automatically start the laser cutting process? Alternatively can you create a shortcut key for the 'start' button in LaserCAD?
