DSP for Shenhui laser?

Howdy!

I have a Shenhui 50watt CO2 Laser with a 500x300 cutting area purchased on Ebay. It is the same system in the auction linked below:

After a year of reliable function the LCD panel seems to have shorted out. Since I need to replace that part I might as well upgrade. Since most of the discussion seems to be about 40watt, and K40 systems in particular I am curious would the DSP controller being sold on this site work with my laser?

A new DSP controller should work fine with your unit. Just follow the wiring diagram in the manual and you should be good to go.

I have bought a couple of machine from Shenhui but will never do it again. See the images I attached. I will retrofit it with the latest DSP once I got spare time.
Shenhui machine is cheap but quality is an issue. It took us a great effort to make it run better and fix some stupid things like 'fake' ground. Double check the AC connector, the ground always left unconnected!!

Marco any thoughts on how to wire the x/y limits on one of these to a DSP? That's the last hurdle for replacing the original controller.

Now I just need to figure out how to get LASERCAD to install in a language other than Chinese.

the limit switches will be connected like described easy
to install a different language its easy if you start installing you select lasercut with coreldraw and below you can select the language.
