I disconnected all the old wires from my laser. I need to connect the wires for my red dot laser pointer. Does anybody have an idea what voltage the pointer takes? I hooked up a 9v battery to it and got nothing.
Thanks,
Bruce

Re: Voltage for red dot pointer
A good change you blew it.. A normal red laserdiode works up to 3V but as i don't know what laserpointer you have i can not tell if there is any circuit in it that needs higher voltages..
It also has a polarity. when you connect it in reverse it will not do anything too..
