Sure, I will get some documentation up today. I have been testing this week and everything is working great. Very pleased with the X7 DSP.

Marco,

After I had fixed the problem I cleaned up all the wires zip tied everything up and was ready to move on to get some work done. The problem returned. However knowing that the only thing that had changed was a few wire movements. I was able to quickly isolate the problem this time to the exact issue.

The problem was the signal wires to the servos were to close to the laser tube it's self. I tested this while the machine was in motion. Moving the wires within 1" of the tube caused the motor to start skipping / jumping. Below are some images on how I resolved the problem completely. I hope this helps people that may have issues with servos skipping on the Y Axis.

I'm confused here. You mentioned that only graphics from Importing caused this issue but any graphics from the LaserCad drawing worked fine. So, why related to the motor driver? That really confused me and lead me thought otherwise issue

Marco,

Yes initially there where so many unknowns I was reaching for patterns, or things that appeared to happen repeatedly. I was convinced it was software related because it only would do it on import. I believe it was a combination of 2 issues. After your patch I had fewer issues. But still had some. So I think in the end it was a combination of the patch you gave me and the interference from the laser tube it's self. I was trying to give you as much info as possible so that it would help troubleshoot. However knowing what I know now somethings may have been coincidence. Cutting from laser cad I was not running the power as high so I didn't see the issue as clearly as when engraving.

Thanks for all your help. We are going to proceed with changing out from our Mach 3 machines to the DSP and also changing all 4 from Synrad laser tubes to the reci laser tubes. In the next week we will be putting in a order for all the components we need to do the next machine.

Thanks,

Got it. So, it is not an import issue. Otherwise, I will have to discuss with the programmer to solve the potential issue.

Thank you for your update and thank you for your support

Regards,
Marco ;)
