I have an electric car conversion with a 100 volt DC and a separate 12volt DC system. They are isolated, meaning that they run off separate batteries and neither uses a common ground. I have two Volt meters(EPM5640) and have just ordered an ammeter and your shunt. I plan to power each meter from the 12volt supply. One meter will also measure the voltage of the 12v supply, The other meter is powered from the 12v and measures the separate 100v. Lastly I want to use the ammeter to measure the amperage of the 100v using your shunt.
My question is, do I need an isolator or isolators to isolate the 12v supply of each of these meters?

Re: New for isolation when using several digital meters
I think you mean of 5740 meter instead. If so, you don't need an external isolated power module as it has built-in.

Re: Need for isolation when using several digital meters
Yes I meant the 5740 meter. Thank you.
