7.23.23 version sluggish

So I installed this version but every file I import now takes forever to load and it's impossible to do anything when opened
I noticed that every graphic is now split into dozens of small lines, like in image, which is causing this sluggish issue for sure
I also installed the previous version and it works fine there

Is this a known issue and if so is the solution ?

I'd like to use this latest version as it seems to have solved the color layer problem
