X7 DSP Origin Button - How does it work?

Hi, just finished upgrading my 60W laser with the X7 DSP 
Now I can Jog the Steppers fine (X-Y) and even start the default program by pressing start.
My Question is about the ORIGIN button on the keypad...
Example if I Jog the steppers around the center, and then press Start the head goes back to the Top-Left (where the limit switches are) and starts the program.
Now if I Jog again to the center press the ORIGIN button and press Start again, the head still goes back to Top-Left and start the program from there?
My guess was that by pressing the ORIGIN button it would set the starting point of the program? Am I wrong or am I missing something?
