Air assist control

I am in the process of doing a complete upgrade of my new K70 adding a more powerful tube, LPSU and DSP X7.
I would like to have the air assist I am adding come on when the laser starts and go off when it stops. I have purchased a 24V relay I/O board (http://www.lightobject.com/24V-relay-IO ... -P840.aspx, but I am not sure how to wire it up or if i need or should use a pneumatic solenoid instead just to control the air flow. I will use a valve to control the amount of air. The air pump is similar to this one http://www.lightobject.com/135W-Air-com ... -P832.aspx
