Hello,
i have 2 lasers with x7 DSP controller.
1 laser is working in RIGHT TOP mode and table is 900x600
2 laser is working in LEFT TOP mode and table is 300x200
What I need is to install 2x Lasercad plugin. Every plugin with different workmode settings.
I tried that, but everytime setup is rewrite old installation of plugin
I dont want everytime config laserCad for each laser..
Is that possible?
Double installation of corel plugin?

Re: Double installation of corel plugin?
As far as I know it isn't unless you do something marginally complicated.
The configure file is no longer stored in the Corel folder. It exists but it's not used. It's now stored in the user profile.
You could have two configure files and write a two batch files to copy config file a or config file b to the config file folder then launch lasercad.

Re: Double installation of corel plugin?
What I tried is this:
1. Install Lasercad corel plugin to corel X7.
2. Install Lasercad app to c:\big_laser\ and configured workspace .. Lets call it #1lasercad
3. Install Lasercad app once more to c:\small_laser\ and configured workspace .. Lets call it #2lasercad
When I ran #1lasercad first, than run corel and run plugin, drawing is exported to running #1lasercad
This is same for #2lasercad
BUT..
When I want to download files to laser with #2lasercad, i get connection failed. ( but!! i can move axis from lasercad, just cannot downlaod )
What I want to donwlaod files to laser with #1lasercad, it works...
I can download from #1lasercad to both lasers with no problem..
From #2lasercad download is not working..
I think downloading files is working just for first installed lasercad..
So I am confused..

You are getting a communication problem because you have to select the correct laser. My large laser is Dr Evil, my small one is mini me

No, this is not a problem. I always select correct laser in communication mode.
Strange is that I can move axis from software, but cannot download file to laser.

Re: Double installation of corel plugin?
So, i have done this successfully with my own batch scripts.
made 1 installation of lasercad
configured lasercad for small laser, backup config files
configured lasercad for big laser, backup config files
Then made an batch file to copy backed up config files to lasercad config files and run Lasercad.
Only what I have to do is FIRST run lasercad with batch, than export drawing from Corel X7.
Works like a charm!
