Box: start at top left, now suddenly top right

Just as the title says, yesterday my nice DSP 608 was doing a box and started from the top-left. Now suddenly (probably because I changed a setting without seeing it) it said "out of range" and I have to put the start point of the box top-right.

That is quite annoying so I'm searching for the button or setting to put the box at top left again.

There are three(actually two) reason may trigger the "Beyond size" area.
1) Acceleration has been too slow
2) "Position Relative" is not set properly setup.
3) Starting point is too closed to the margin (acceleration issue)

Solutions:
1) Increase acceleration X to 10,000 , Y to 6,000
2) If your limit switch (home) is Top left, make sure the Position Relation is set to Top Left as well (See Option)
3)Move your object toward inward to the area to allow more time for the machine to speed up

Hello Marco!

Thanks for the fast replay but your answer is not helping me, sorry for my bad explanation.

What I mean is that my box command (to see where the engraving is gonna be) started top-left for ages and now suddenly it starts from top right. So Instead of moving the head to the top-left location of the engraving i have to move it to the top-right location before I can zero the machine.

A bit confusing so I would like to change it back.

Do you understand my explanation'?

That's why I asked you to look at the "Position Relative"
Check it see if it match your HOME setup

I've found the problem!

options--->position relative--->select left up.

That was the problem, now it is left up again.

Hello again marco , I've been tinkering around today to see if I could get somewhere with the machine as I'm sure it's on the point of firing up. I seem to have got round the engrave beyond size problem ....I now find that the head moves as though it's engraving but the laser doesn't fire ....I'm perplexed also the y buttons on the led console now work in reverse thinking I had put the stepping motor wires back in the wrong order I changed them and then found that the head locates to the bottom of the cabinet instead of the top.

Hello again Marco , I've got the machine moving (I attached a fine tip pen to the head so I know its going through the motions for engraving/cutting) but still no laser . I've tested the beam and it's fine only seems to be off when the machine should be engraving/cutting.)
As ever any pointers gratefully received. Feel it'll be something glaringly obvious.

Hi Ses , have you had a look at the lcd panel when the head is moving , I found that the default setting for the power was 50% and 40 % when at rest but after I'd tried to use the file it then set itself to 15% which simply make a mark so light I couldn't see it. Try pausing the machine just after you start and increase the laser power setting . Worked for me.

Hello Marco , just downloaded and installed the latest lasercad and cant seem to get it to install in english , I've tried messing around with the language files but to no avail. As ever I will work away at it but in the event you don't see me posting that I've sussed it would you have any pointers about it. Hope the move went well for you.

Hello Marco , am pleased to say I've resolved the problem. Still couldn't get the update to work so just deleted everything and reinstalled from my backup usb. Everything now working as it should .
