This may already be somewhere in this forum but I could not find it.

I have a Z table and want to add driver, power supply and controls for up-dwnl.

I see the files for the limit switches etc. What electronics is recommended?

If you're not using our DSP, then you may need one of this controller board:
http://www.lightobject.com/Stepping-mot ... -P729.aspx

Plus, you need a motor driver. We will post another driver to provide higher current but less expensive. It is M3020
It output up to 2A and it is good for the Z table and good for our High Speed 500x300 XY stage

You need at least two Press button to control it Up and Dn

Thanks Marco,
Can you point me to the buttons that work with the design files?
Is there a manual for the controller, I could not find it.
Are you sure that 2A is enough power I measured the motors at over 3A?

Marco,
In my previous post:
..by motors I meant Motor.
... by controller I meant the controller you linked not the dsp.

Are we talking the same Z table, K40?

For small power Z table that dedicated for the K40, here is the new driver should be used:

For the push button, any momentary push button will work

Trying to figure out the wiring on the z table, as the wire coloring on the z table does not match the schematics I received.

Hoping someone can tell me how the wires on this are suppose to go? I have no black!

Orange, Yellow, Brown, Red are the color wires on the step motor from left to right physically on the motor

The Schematic shows

https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2& ... sp=safe&zw

Red= A+
Brown= A-
Black =B+
Yellow=B-

None of the color wires are in the same location on the schematic.

Confused?

Looking for someone who has this working with the controller. I attached pictures.

Use Color Code 2.

Marco,
I receieved the parts you recommended:
-ECN-SC04
-ECNC-ZLM3020

I also downloaded the schematic that shows how to connect a controller and driver to the Z table.

I assume this drawing it not for the Motor Driver I have because there are discrepancies.

Schematic ECNC-ZLM3020
+5v on controller connects to Opto on the driver..... this driver has no OPTO
DIR on the controller connects to DIR on driver ......this driver has a D+ and D

-------
I searched all over these sites and could not find a useful manual on the controller and driver.
I plan to use both of these for other things and need to know how to set switches and what all the inputs and output do.
Can you provide me some documentation please
------
Lastly, where are the limit switches typically wired that are not shown on the schematic I downloaded.

I assume they are in series with the switches on IN2 & IN3?

This is the only information I could find on the controller.

Is this .jpg the correct connection scheme?

Marco,
I really could use some help by validating or modifying the posts above.
I am waiting for this verification before I power this up!

Don,

I can confirm that the above wiring diagram works. This is the same diagram i used to get my z table up and running.

@innovatorian,
Thanks,
I was worried about hooking 5v to PUl+ and DIR +.

Now I can power up :)
