New upgraded part for exhaust air plenum

Post by sogambler »

Can we get a new replacement part design on the exhaust air plenum. The way it is designed cuts down greatly on the exhaust air flow. It should be cut to allow use of the 300 x 200 honeycomb and not drop down to the 1/2 inch "mailbox " slot. That really restricts the air flow.
Also it should be the width of the LightObject honeycomb table to remove the smoke when cutting on the far right side of the table.
I cannot for some reason upload the images of my laser upgrade showing the cut off exhaust air plenum.

Does anyone have a design for a new air plenum ? Has anyone added an vacuum port to the hole on the bottom case of the laser ? This looks like a good way to pull the air exhaust down away from the lens.

I removed the entire thing and plan on using a larger fan.

How did you remove the duct? Is it just the two spot welds on the back frame?

Used a cutoff wheel and made the rear opening roughly 1cm larger in all directions. (This takes care of any pinch welds)

I cut about 3 inches off of my rear duct to make more room for the Z table and put a new inline fan.....Threw the one that came with it away.....
