So, n00b here, but I'm not clear from the manual what the right answer is.
I've got a JLD612, a J-type thermocouple, relay and a question. I'm doing this for sous-vide cooking, so precision to within a half-degree or so would be nice, but I've been unable to get the JLD612 to either show me decimal places or hold steady to within less than 3 degrees. As in, I'll set it to close the circuit below 66 degrees, but while it will heat up to 66 and then shut off, it will then cool down to 63 before switching back on again.
I've got it set to the right type of thermocouple, so what am I missing? Do I need a different parameters in jld612, or a different thermocouple?
Precision.

Re: Precision.
You need PT-100 in order to get "0.1" degree resolution. You need to tangle around with the P,I,D setting in order to get you precise temperature control. Or, use AT to do it. You need to double check on the manual as it all covered.
