I just received my PID and noticed something weird. Terminal 11 (not used for anything) is missing. Where the screw should be is a hole and some random component is sticking out. See picture.
Anybody know what that's about?

Re: Component sticking out of the back of PID
It's a resistor, 1/4 Watt, unknown value, part of some kind of compensation for something or substitute for an external component that isn't used with this particular controller. Don't mess with it.

Per manufacturer, it's a diode for temperature compensation. A lot of buyer didn't know the reason and dropped me "natural" feedback on eBay or Amazon, saying that missing screw and defect. My goodness

Consider posting a photo of the back on the product pages so people know that it is supposed to look like that.
