First, there are two voltages in the documentation:
Page 1
SSR activated voltage: open circuit: 6V; short circuit: 40mA.
Page 3
2: Relay J1 and J2 as alarm outputs; SSR PID output 8V SSR signal. Target: SV
Is this a type-o or am I missing something.
Second, if I need to use a reed/limit switch, I do not see a feedback circuit. I suppose I should wire it in parallel with the SSR or relay?

It really doesn't matter, 6V or 8V. Open circuit could be 8V but in closed circuit, it may dropped to 5~6V
SSR take 3V~36V so it is not really a concern in this scenario

@neo -- RE question 2:
The mechanical relays J1 and J2 are regular electro-mechanical relays actuated by various programmed functions in the controller -- there is no built-in power source connected to them, so any thing controlled by closing or opening one of the relays needs an appropriate power source as well.
Please do not connect anything in parallel with the SSD control output unless it is a relatively high impedance load so as not to add an extra current load to the output to the SSD.
