Hey Everyone
Just finshed wiring my 110v heat treating furnace and the element is not heating up. I have power from the controller (JLD612) to the relay (25A DC in/ AC out) and the light on the relay is on, but no heat. It's wired according to the SSR control diagram in the manual and programmed the same way as the manual's example. Am I missing something basic or could the relay be bad?
Any tips would be a big help
Thanks for looking
Dave

Re: Furnace not heating up
Be sure the control signal from the PID is correctly connected to the SSR-- + to +, and - to -. After that, it's either something wrong in the AC wiring of the SSR and heater, or it's a bad relay.

Thanks. I'll double check the wiring. If it's not that I'll grab a new relay.

Good test of the heater and the wiring is to just bypass the SSR and see if you get heat.
