I have the 6V high temperature pump here: http://www.lightobject.com/High-tempera ... -P510.aspx, which I'm using for sous vide.
Unfortunately, although it is submersible and high-temperature, it is not actually submersible *at* high temperature. When out of the water, it needs to be primed, as the pump cannot run on air. Any suggestions on a primer? Small form factor is preferable, but I'll consider all options. I looked at primer bulbs like this, http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R ... reId=10051, but the inlake/outlet tubes seem small compared to the ones on the pump so it would be a hassle to use the same tubing to move the water around. There are also primer bulbs like this: http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/products ... 4Aod-XIAOw, but that seems quite big and heavy for what will ideally be a lightweight setup.
Any thoughts on this are welcome. Thanks!

Re: Priming high-temperature pump
could siphon by mouth to get it started. also, it could lead to a mess if you spring a leak, but if your pump is below the level of the intake, it won't need re-priming on every start (just when you change out the water).
