Was cutting at about 40% power and after about six minutes the laser quit cutting.

It has been working great up until this incident.

Any suggestions on where to start troubleshooting this issue?

Thanks,
Chuck

Is the laser power supply still working? Fan turning?

I just realized I hadn’t replied to this question.

Yes the fan was spinning.

Here is the latest update. Although the fan was spinning I ordered a new power supply from “light objects“.

The new power supply is installed in my laser is again Cutting.

I had sent this email to Marco and I’m still interested in the questions that I have asked. Please advise.

“ Marco,
My previous note to you several days ago (unanswered) mentioned I found a burnt high-voltage connector on my existing RECI power supply wiring.

I had presumed this was what caused my laser tube to quit firing. I rewire the existing RECI Power supplyPower supply and to my surprise my problem dDID NOT go away.

I install the new “light object” power supply and everything works fine now.

I have a question, do you think the open circuit situation on the high-voltage electrical connector was what caused my RECI power supply to fail?

If so, what can I do to prevent an high-voltage Open circuit failure on my new power supply set up?

Is there a recommended way of splicing the high voltage wire?

Thanks,
Chuck
