I have some of the steel honeycomb in a frame, but I need it smaller.
I took off the frame. The individual rows aren't actually bonded. There are several tension rods running through it, each threaded the last 1/4" or so and a nut tightened onto it. This already makes it difficult to shorten in that direction, but I can figure that out. You'd just remove some rows and figure out how to re-tension those rods.
On the other sides though, it'd have to be cut. Any idea how to cut it? It's steel, not all that thick but I doubt a knife could cut it. I wonder if a sawblade would work or just shred it apart?

Re: How to cut steel honeycomb?
I had the same issue and ended up using a Dremel with the reinforced cutting wheel. Went pretty well.
