AW608 to control plasma cnc

Hi guys long time no see. I've ended up with a spare setup minus the tube (no frost protection and full tube didn't mix well) and I was wondering if it could be used to control the switch to a plasma cutter? I've seen some diy plasma cnc setups but they all seem to use mach 3 and I never could get my head around it.

All I'd need is the trigger signal from the dsp to the front of the plasma cutter, they use an aviation connection I believe usually for a foot switch, but I don't know how easy it will be to cobble something together if its even possible.

It may be overkill to use the dsp for this but I already have it an would like to get some use out of it. Having said that am I better off selling the old unit and getting some cash for another project?
