For the 6v to 12v DC-DC step up power module:
1) Where do I connect a heat sink?
2) How hot will this get if one is not used?
3) Will it get hot only under load or any time it is powered?
Thanks

You may attach a small heating to the IC and/or the coil. It got hot if you drive over 1A current. It will not get hot if no load

Re: DC-DC step up power module
For the DC to DC power module step up Input 3.5V - 26.5V output used as voltage regulator for a solar panel, how do you set it to 12V max? Couldn't find manual. Sorry if this is in the wrong place on board.

Can you post the link or the image to let me see which one did you have?
Usually there is a VR (variable resistor) pot allow one to change output

Since this is the one recommended for use with solar panels, does it also step down the voltage if it comes in higher than 12V?
